The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and the security establishment are mourning the sudden death of Brigadier General Tom Kikoyo Kabuye, the Assistant Chief of Defence Intelligence, who was found dead at his home in Kikuyusa Town Council, Luweero District, on Sunday morning, September 7, 2025.
According to a statement from the family, the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, with an official UPDF communication expected to provide further details.
Gen Kabuye’s death has sent shockwaves through the military and his home district of Luweero, where he has been hailed as a “great son” and a decorated officer who served Uganda with distinction. His passing has triggered widespread speculation as investigations continue into the cause of death.
