After erecting a high-grade fence around the vast farmland, Muhangi reportedly sealed off the route, effectively cutting off locals from vital amenities such as a nearby health center, school, and trading center. Attempts by local leaders to engage him on the matter were reportedly met with arrogance and threats.
“We used that road to access Kakanju Health Centre and our children used it to go to school,” said one angry resident. “Now we have to walk kilometers around his land. It’s not just selfish — it’s a declaration of war on the community.”
