Mityana Based Land Fraudster Netted, Charged

The state House anti corruption unit working together with other anti graft agencies have arrested Fraudster who has been using forged documents to grab land

Mr Lutwama Isaac Mugandaazi was recently arrested and arraigned before court .

He was charged at Mityana Chief Magistrate’s Court and charged with multiple cases.

The charges Included , Fraudulent Procurement of a Certificate of Title, Forgery, Uttering False Documents,

Making a False Declaration in a matter relating to land and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony

It was alleged that between April and July 2019, in Kasalaga village, Mityana District, Lutwama and other individuals still at large forged and presented powers of attorney, falsely claiming they had been granted by Najjemba Christine, an 83-year-old widow.

Additionally, Lutwama is accused of conspiring with others at the Mityana Ministry Zonal Office (MZO) to fraudulently obtain certificates of title for land comprised in Busunju Block 56, Plots 249, 113, 106, 100, 121, 125, 126, 122, 70, 112, 114, and 101. He then allegedly sold a portion of the land belonging to Najjemba Christine.

He however denied all the charges and was

remanded until October 25, 2025.
