A woman in Mbarara has shocked many after winning over UGX 250 million from the Uganda Bettors Association fixed games, and immediately quitting her job at the bank.
Struggles as a Single Mother Sarah Achiengo, a teller in one of Mbarara’s top banks, opened up about her financial struggles as a single mother of three.
Her decision came after reading about an MP who had also won big through the Uganda Bettors Association
She said when she saw the story, she herself that was her only hope.
Brave enough Sarah picked the little savings she had and subscribed for fixed games. She sent her stake despite her little knowledge on betting.
Achieng narrated that the next day, they called her saying her ticket had won before sending the money to her bank account.
With her breakthrough secured, Sarah decided to resign from the bank.
She added that the money has given me hope and freedom.
