Kabale MPs Officiate At The Opening of Kabale Muslim Women Seminar

Hon. Dr. Kamara Nicholas, Member of Parliament for Kabale Municipality, and Hon. Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira, Woman MP for Kabale District, officiated the opening of the Kabale District Muslim Women Seminar on Friday, 5th September 2025. The seminar, which runs until Sunday, 7th September 2025, is aimed at empowering Muslim women in the region through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and fostering community unity.

Held under the auspices of the Kabale Muslim Supreme Council, the event has attracted Muslim women from across the district to discuss issues related to health, education, and economic empowerment. The seminar serves as a platform for women to learn, collaborate, and strategize on how to improve their lives and their communities.

The opening ceremony saw heartfelt tributes from various leaders, with the Deputy Kabale District Kadhi, Sheikh Ibrahim Byomuhangi, particularly recognizing Dr. Kamara for his continued support of the Muslim community. Sheikh Byomuhangi highlighted Dr. Kamara’s generous donation of an ultrasound scan to Kirigime Health Center, which he said would greatly enhance healthcare services in the region.”Hon. Dr. Kamara’s dedication to the welfare of Kabale’s people, particularly in the area of healthcare, has made a significant difference. His contributions are a testament to his commitment to our community,” Sheikh Byomuhangi stated.

Hon. Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira also addressed the gathering, emphasizing her commitment to the welfare of women in Kabale District.
