Police and other security agencies are hunting down thugs who killed a bodaboda rider as they robbed millions from a mobile money dealer.
Another trader was severely cut with pangas and was rushed to a medical facility.
Kampala deputy police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire said the gentleman who was shot was rushed to hospital in very critical condition.
The incident happened at Ndikuttamanda when four thugs riding on motorcycles Bajaj Boxer and armed with pangas and a gun attacked a mobile money dealer and demand all the money she had.
She immediately gave them.the money. But her neighbor who had the scuffle moved out of his shop to come and see what was happening but the thugs raided on him cutting him badly.
According to eyewitnesses , another bodaboda operator tried to block them but the gun man shot him two bullets leaving him.dead before they sped off.
A police source told this Media that the thugs allegedly proceeded to Gwowonyeggere a near by trading centre after Ndikuttamanda and robbed more people.
He said similar robberies were reported simultaneously in Mutundwe and Kawempe.
