ASP Clive Nsiima Charged Over Assault , Remanded.

Kampala

The errant Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Clive Nsiima who last week assaulted a shop attendant and threatened violence has been remanded.

Nsiima appeared at Kampala City Hall Court, Monday, October 13, 2025 and had charges read out for him.

He denied the charges and was remanded to Luzira Prison until October 16, 2025.

He had requested for a bail but such ruling remained pending .

City Hall chief Magistrate Nicholas Aisu presided over the hearing.

His lawyer, Hamaza Kyamanywa, argued for bail, citing reconciliation between Nsiima and the victim, Pellan Atuhumurize.

The incident which was captured on CCTV footage happened at Shell Kyanja supermarket in Kawempe division, Kampala district stunning every one.

Nsiima, attached to the Counter Terrorism Directorate’s Oil and Gas Protection Unit lost his cool when the attendant ran after him as he drove away after picking items costing about shs 31,000 and didn’t pay promptly.
